LOS ANGELES -- Four people were arrested today on Friday for trying to burglarize a medical marijuana clinic in West Hollywood, authorities said.

Deputies were sent to the facility in the 7800 block of Santa Monica Boulevard about 5:15 a.m., said sheriff's Sgt. Arthur Famble of the West Hollywood Station.

The names of the suspects were not immediately released. No injuries were reported, Famble said. Police say burglars have targeted the clinic in the past.

Four men arrested in pot clinic burglary attempt
The Monterey County Herald

WEST HOLLYWOOD (AP) - Four men were arrested Friday for trying to burglarize a medical marijuana clinic after someone used a garden hose to climb down from the roof, authorities said.

The men, whose identities were not released, were arrested without incident and did not manage to steal any pot, sheriff's Detective Sylvia Arreseigor said.

A deputy responded to a burglar alarm at The Farmacy medical marijuana dispensary about 5:45 a.m., where he saw someone inside the closed shop and called for backup, Arreseigor said.

The burglar apparently cut open a metal grate on top of the roof and used a garden hose to lower himself down, she said.

Three men were arrested when deputies stopped a car that drove away from the clinic, the detective said.

California voters in 1996 approved marijuana for medical use with a doctor's recommendation.
